Tuesday 12/27
Minisink Valley @ Linn Crawn Memorial at Kittatinny, NJ
Minisink Valley crowned 3 champs and had 5 other wrestlers finish in the top 4 at the Linn Crawn Memorial Tournament in Kittatiny, NJ.  Tyler Lynch was the champ at 120, Andrew Covais won at 195, and Andrew Fenner pinned his way to the 285 pound title!  Dominic Vetrano (145) and Joey Yanis (182) finished 2nd, Timmy Ganuncio (160) took 3rd, and “Meaty” Moore (170) and Andrew Slagle (220) finished 4th!  Full MV Results Here!

2016 Mid Hudson Tournament – Final Results

– Wallkill’s Mike Fekishazy voted MOW Senior!

Wednesday 12/28
Monroe Woodbury, Middletown @ Massapequa Christmas Tournament
The Crusaders came in 2nd behind Long Beach and crowned two champions at the Massapequa Christmas Tournament.  Dylan Earl was the champion at 106 and Marco Vespa took home the title at 113.  Vespa also won the aggregate pin award for earning the most pins in the least amount of time.  Evan Barczak finished 2nd losing 4-1 in the finals to a wrestler from Canada who recently finished 4th at the Beast of the East.  Anthony Sountis also finished in 2nd place for the Crusaders at 132.  Other top for finishers for Monroe include Joe McGinty (3rd @ 120), Cameron Wernicki (4th @ 126), Rob Estevez (4th @ 132), Louis Libutti (4th @ 138), Tom Fini (3rd @ 145), John Minnies (4th @ 160), and Kyle Strauss (4th @ 182).

Middletown finished in 6th place as a team and had three top 4 finishers.  Julius Oquendo came in 3rd at 195 while Adonis Morano (170) and Horace Duke (220) both finished in 4th place!

Wednesday 12/28 & Thursday 12/29
E/L/SW @ Windsor Christmas Tournament
Eldred Liberty Sullivan West brought 5 wrestlers to the Windsor Christmas Tournament and 3 placed!  As a team, E/L/SW finished 17th out of 31 teams.  Noah Curreri won the title at 160 pounds by defeating fellow state qualifier Madison Hoover of BGAH.  Nicky Curreri took 4th at 126 while John Goodell placed 5th at 195.
