Thursday’s Highlights…..
MV defeats MW in the Brawl for the Belt. In that dual we saw MV’s Nick Picariello top Ryan Burgos 8-2 @ 120 pounds and Adam Fenner defeated MW’s Preston Havison 4-0 at 285. In the most exciting bout of the night, MW’s Richie Toledo held off MV’s Luke Greiner 8-7 at 99 pounds! In the Cornwall vs VC dual we saw Cornwall’s Leonard major VC’s Crisfield at 220 and VC’s Satriano record a wbf over Michael Cassidy from Cornwall at 170. Over in Pine Bush we had PB’s Kevin Urena top Kingston’s Gavin Richter 8-2 at 126. Wallkill defeated New Paltz to clinch the conference championship….congrats to Coach Ng and the Wallkill Panthers. In the tri-meet between Rondout Valley, E/L/SW, and Onteora we saw RV’s Nikko Walsh pin E/L/SW’s Joey Curreri and also a very special congratulations to Onteora sophomore Nick Ross for recording his 100th career win with a wbf over Nick Curreri from E/L/SW! Congrats Nick!

Mike, I am down here in NC, soon to be in SC (retired), I coached wrestling at Red Hook for a number of years and retired as Athletic Director in 2006. colby didn’t lose to that kid from long beach he got injured so all of his losses are from injury forfeits.
