Walsh Ironman Finals Set

Final pairings are set for the 2012 Walsh Ironman in OH.  The Ironman is generally considered the toughest high school wrestling tournament in the country. Blair Academy has pulled away with the team race.  Some interesting notes about a few of the finalists….

Jose Rodriguez was a NYS finalist at 99 lbs last year.  His family moved from Long Island (Wantagh, S8) to Massillon Perry, Ohio during the summer.
2012 NYS champion Nick Piccininni (Ward Melville, S11) defeated Zahid Valencia at the Super 32 Challenge this year.
Eric Morris and Michael Johnson were 2012 Eastern States Wrestling Classic champions.
Russell Parsons will be wrestling for Army next year!
Kyle Snyder is the brother of Army 197 starter Stephen Snyder.
