Suffern beat Plainedge in the finals to capture the title at this year’s Warwick Duals. Warwick wrestlers Joe Ginley, Ryan Ferro and AJ Aeberli all finished 5-0 for the tournament. Pine Bush competed as well and both Anthony and Johnny Stramiello ran the table at 5-0.

Saugerties goes 5-0 on the day to sweep the Wizard duals. Biko Skalla (132), Rob Cuomo (195), and James Bethel (220) were undefeated for the Sawyers.

Gene Brigham Invitational
Host Minisink Valley wins the team title and crowns 3 champions at the 2014 Gene Brigham Invitational. Tournament MOW Gerard Daly won the 113 pound title with an 8-4 victory over Middletown’s Pedro Rosales. Michael Raccioppi was the champ at 138 and Frankie Hernangez took the title at 145 for Minisink Valley. Middletown also had a champion as Joe Humphrey won the title at 220 over Red Hook’s Ben Zitz. Monroe Woodbury won the team title and crowned 6 champions as Marco Vespa, Vinny Vespa, Evan Barczak, PJ Smoot, Jamie Panuto, and Rob Kelly won their weight classes! Kevin Kelly and Brandon Lewis finished second at their weights!
