The wildcard selections for the 2013 NYS Wrestling Championships have been made.  Section 9.  Five section finalists received at-large bids and will be competing next weekend in Albany; three others have been chosen as alternates and must be ready to compete in the event that a spot opens up.

Coaches and Parents:

There have been multiple changes in the past week. Below is the final word on weigh-in times and places. Coaches, please make sure all wrestlers in your club get the weigh-in changes or they may show up at the wrong place and/or time. All information and guidance in the original flyer is still in effect with the following changes:

Weigh-ins: There are two weigh-in sites for you to choose from.  Both sites will conduct weigh-ins from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Friday, February 15th. There will NOT be weigh-ins on Saturday. The “southern” weigh-in site is at Monroe Woodbury High School. The “northern” weigh-in site is at Studio Ayo Fitness (address: 360 Route 211 East, Middletown, NY) less than a mile away from Middletown High School. There will NOT be weigh-ins at Middletown High School.

Check-in: Check-in is between 7:00 and 8:00 am at Monroe Woodbury High School. Random weight checks will be conducted. Wrestlers must be within 3% of their weight class or they will be disqualified without refund.  Wrestling will begin at approximately 8:30 am.
