Middletown, Rondout Valley, Marlboro, & Pine Bush @ Pete Caruso Mahopac Tournament
Middletown had 10 wrestlers place in the top 4 including 4 finalists and 3 champions on their way to the team title at the Pete Caruso Tournament in Mahopac. Leading the way for the Middies were champions Justin Morales (106), Josh Sam (132),and Joe Velazquez (160). Other top 4 finishers for Middletown were Armel Duke who finished 2nd at 220, Destin Morano who was 3rd at 152, Pablo Garcia who took 3rd at 170, Elijah Babb who came in 3rd at 182, Stephan Monchery who was 3rd at 285, Jeremy Jenkins who was 4th at 138, and Bruce French who placed 4th at 285.

Pine Bush took 6th place in the team race and had 3 champions and one other finalist! Kevin Urena took home the title at 126 and notched a nice win over state qualifier CJ McMonegal from North Rockland. Tommy Askey was the champion at 145 and Nick Florin took the title at 152 pounds. Lucas Pennell finished 2nd at 160 for Pine Bush. Rondout Valley had 3 top 4 place winners in Nikko Walsh who was the champion at 113, Lucas Ospina who came in 4th at 106, and Timmy Pereira who took 4th at 120. Marlboro’s John Antonelli finished in 2nd place at 120 pounds!


Monticello & New Paltz @ Edgemont Tournament
New Paltz had two champions and had three others place in the top 4 on their way to a 3rd place finish at the Edgemont Tournament. Aiden Cuppet (132) and Ethan Palanca (138) both won titles for New Paltz! Logan Michael (152) and Devin Dixon (220) took 3rd for New Paltz and Levi Wyns (145) finished 4th. Monticello was also at the Edgemont Tournament and Douglas Doherty won the title at 152 pounds!
