Updated Division 1 & Division 2 Section 9 Rankings

102 – Division 1

Satriano and Merli locked horns again but this time it was a razor close 1-0 win by decision for Satriano. Merli beat Uhrig 5-0 and Uhrig topped Judd 7-3 at the Section 9 Duals. Marco Futia is having a very solid season and enters our D1 ranking at #5. Wylie is the clear #1 at D2 102 and Lorenzo Caserto jumps on the board at #2 D2!

110 – Division 1

110 – Division 2

Weeden continues to look great down at 110 and stays #1 followed by Boice who just notched a 9-4 win in the S9 Duals finals over #3 Hayes. Grossi stays at #4 and MV’s Sullivan re-enters the rankings at #5 at D1 110! Tufano has been absolutely dominating the competition and he’s our #1 D2 followed by Rondout Valley’s Nicholas Laskowki who’s our #2 here.

118 – Division 1

118 – Division 2

In one of the most highly anticipated matches of the S9 Duals, MV’s Macaluso recorded a pin late in the third period over 2020 NYS place winner Greco from Warwick, so she is our new #1. Futia is our #3 here and Javorsky, who lost a tough 3-0 decision to Macaluso, comes in at #4. Goshen’s Perales is wrestling very tough and he’s our #5 but we need to keep our eye on Pine Bush’s Logan Pennell and Middletown’s Jayden Norris who is now at 118. Red Hook’s Kirker is the clear #1 at 118 D2 while another female wrestler, Rebecca Brennan from New Paltz, cracks the rankings as our #2 here.

126 – Division 1

Vidacovich and Tresch are both putting together great seasons and remain the top 2 at 126 D1. Hockx from Saugerties is, our new #3 and has a win over our new #4, Banda from Wallkill. NFA’s Matthew Mercado breaks into the rankings at #5 here. Gatto from Highland continues to be impressive, so he grabs the top spot at 126 D2 followed by Ospina from Rondout who re-enters the board!

132 – Division 1
1. Andrew Marchese – Washingtonville, Sr.
2. Richie Degon – Valley Central, So.
3. Zack McKernan – Minisink Valley, Jr.
4. Grant Barczak – Monroe Woodbury, Sr.
5. Michael Accardo – Warwick, So.
132 – Division 2

Still no doubt that Marchese is the top dog at 132 D1 but the weight is pretty open after the Washingtonville senior. Degon sits at #2 followed by #3 McKernan who notched a tough 4-2 win over #4 Barczak. Michael Accardo from Warwick breaks into the D1 rankings at #5 but we should also watch Jacob Roger from Middletown. Rocco DeAveiro from Rondout is #1 at 132 D2 followed by rankings newcomer Nathan VanKleet from Port Jervis. Red Hook’s Demetrius Massey will definitely be in the hunt here!

138 – Division 1
1. PJ Duke – Minisink Valley, Fr.
2. Jordan Brown – Monroe Woodbury, Jr.
3. Jackson Brady – Goshen, Jr.
4. Michael Tomblinson – Middletown, Sr.
5. Kevin Segali – NFA, Jr.
138 – Division 2
1. Logan Zehr – Highland, Sr.
2. Justin Coiteux – New Paltz, So.

Nationally ranked Duke will return to the lineup soon and remains #1 followed by MW’s Brown who was a state place winner in 2020. Brady from Goshen looks strong and is #3 followed by #4 Tomblinson and #5 Segali who are new to the rankings. On the D2 side it looks like Zehr and Coiteux are on a crash course for a marquee S9 D2 finals matchup. Zehr recently notched an 8-4 win over Coiteux at the S9 Duals however Chester sophomore Michael Franco can’t be overlooked!

145 – Division 1

Merli and Greiner had a great battle in the S9 Duals semifinal round with the NFA senior gutting out a sudden victory 8-6 win. Merli stays #1 and Greiner holds at #2. Gennaro is tough and comes in at #3 while we have two new wrestlers on the board in Ballantine from Cornwall and Thomas from Wallkill. Another wrestler to keep an eye on here is Brandon Carcaterra from MW. In Division 2 Ryan Ross from PJ is our #1 followed by Marlboro’s Reese Greathouse.

152 – Division 1

MV’s Tigue has looked very impressive and is a solid #1 at 152 D1. Nipping at his heels is Cornwall’s Tyler Reed whose only loss this season has been to Section 1 hammer Tim Bova. Erik Nilson from Warwick is our #3 and he is followed by two new additions to the board. Marco Martini from Wallkill is our new #4 and Christian Hockx from Saugerties comes in at #5. We also need to keep our eyes on Aljimal from Washingtonville. In D2 we have New Paltz’s Cole Cuppett as our top ranked wrestler at 152 followed by Walter Evans from Ellenville.

160 – Division 1

3. Anthony Manzi – NFA, Sr.

Nationally ranked state champion Ryder is the clear #1 here. Our new #2 is Ryder’s teammate, George Racz, who notched a win by pinfall over #3 Manzi from NFA at the S9 Duals. Serafin from Washingtonville is solid #4 and our new #5 is Jack Mazzella from Warwick. Logan Smith from Highland is our #1 at 160 for Division 2 followed by Eamon Hill from Onteora .

172 – Division 1
1. Mikey Altomer – Minisink Valley, Sr.
2. Mike Zrelak – Monroe Woodbury, Sr.
3. Myles Gordon – Kingston, Sr.
4. Jalen Charles – Middletown, Sr.
5. Nick Cavallo – Cornwall, Jr.
172 – Division 2
1. Wyatt Konjas – Onteora, Sr.

2020 NYS place winner Altomer has dropped down to 172 and he takes over the top spot here. Zrelak from Monroe Woodbury is strong and athletic and comes in at #2 followed by Kingston’s Myles Gordon at #3. After Gordan there are three wrestlers equally credentialed for the final two spots. This week we are going with Charles from Middletown at #4 and Cavello from Cornwall at #5 but Johnny Accardo from Warwick is right there. There are two wrestlers to keep an eye on here – Wyatt Konjas from Onteora and Nick Dicurcio from Chester. We’ll go with Konjas at #1 and Dicurcio at #2 for this week!

189 – Division 1

With Altomer dropping down to 172, his MV teammate Andrew Filip takes over the top spot at 189. Pennell from Pine Bush has looked very tough and he’s our new #2. Ponesse from NFA defeated Winkler from Goshen so they now come in at #3 and #4 while Middletown’s Bryson Tibbs re-enters the rankings at #5. We should keep an eye on James Bucci from Saugerties here as well. Ivan Figueroa from Port Jervis holds down the top spot at 189 D2 followed by Uriel Cazarez-Quinto who breaks into the rankings at #2 in D2.

215 – Division 1

2020 NYS place winner Gallo is the top dog at 216 D1. Gallo remains undefeated for the season. Washingtonville’s Callahan has looked very tough and is our #2 followed by Cornwall’s Gavin Furst who defeated #4 DelBianco from Beacon at the S9 Duals. Washingtonville has another ranked wrestler at 215 with Jake McVey coming in at #5. Section 9 has two tough kids at 215 in D2. Chester’s Teddy Szymanski is our #1 followed by Port Jervis’ Matthew Oosterom at #2.

285 – Division 1
1. Stephan Monchery – Middletown, So.
2. Dominick Siracusa – Goshen, Jr.
3. Nick Valenzano – Cornwall, Sr.
4. Aiden Gove – Minisink Valley, Jr.
5. Tyler Haydt – Beacon, Sr.
285 – Division 2
1. Logan Ormond – New Paltz, Jr.
2. Luke Daniels – Red Hook, Jr.

Monchery is considered one of the top heavyweights in NYS and remains our #1 at 285 D1. Goshen’s Dominick Siracusa is also undefeated and has opened some eyes so he is at #2 followed by Cornwall’s Nick Valenzo who is a solid #3 here. MV’s Aiden Gove has been impressive in limited action so we have him at #4 and Haydt from Beacon rounds off out top 5. New Paltz’s Logan Ormond is putting together a nice season so we have him at #1 for D2 followed Luke Daniels from Red Hook who placed at the Mid-Hudson.
