Congratulations to Washingtonville graduate and current University of Buffalo wrestler Tommy Maddox for winning his pool at the Journeymen Collegiate Classic. Wrestling at 133 pounds, Maddox notched a 3-1 win over Army’s Jake Staud, a pin of Sacred Heart’s John Lafferty, and an 8-5 victory over Pitt-Johnstown’s Byron Daubert! Congratulations on a great day Tommy!

Army Prep brought 9 wrestlers to the Bearcat Open and were led by Evan Anderson who placed 4th at 285! Anderson went 2-2 on the day and posted wins over Bucknell’s Dorian Crosby and Spartan Combat’s Ashton Davis! Also competing at the tournament for the Black Knight Prep wrestlers were Noah Tonsar (0-2 @ 125), Brayden Basile (2-2 @ 141), Gunner Filipowicz (4-2 @ 165), Micah Hunau (1-2 @ 165), Oscar Aranda (1-2 @ 165), Dakota Lee (1-2 @ 165), Lucas Stoddard (2-2 @ 285), and Gage Cook (0-2 @ 285).

Oswego State 24 Brockport 19Minisink Valley graduate Joey Yanis notched a 6-0 win for Brockport wrestling at 285 while Chester grad Liam Bullock, who also wrestles for Brockport, suffered a loss by fall wrestling at 125.
