What To Watch For….
Now that we’re in our last full week of scheduled dual meets, I have decided to add this WTWF section to the weekly schedule…better late than never.  Tuesday’s dual at Washingtonville could give us McCormick vs. Davis @ 120 and Fekishazy vs. Martin @ 170. Wednesday has a bunch of potential marquee matches.  At MV vs Washingtonville we may see Bobe vs Ganuncio plus I am hearing that a certain coach dressed in green is going for a milestone victory.  Over in Warwick the 99 pound bout between Prokosch and Brown could have seeding implications as well as the 160 pound match-up between Ohanian vs Noble in Kingston.  A bumped up Lainez from Middletown vs Fischer from NFA could happen and Earl (MW) vs Urena (PB) may be exciting! Thursday’s dual between MW and perennial NJ power Don Bosco should be great!  There will be several swing matches but I like Stramiello vs Cawood, Barczak vs Shay, and  Elfstrum vs Acciardi as the highlights.  Friday’s highlight match will likely be Lynch vs Fea #2 at Minisink Valley.

Army Captures All-Academy Championships

army-11-logoCongratulations to the Black Knights for winning the All-Academy Championships for the first time since 2008.  Army won four individual titles and had eight place in the top-4. Logan Everett (141), Andrew Mendel (165), 19th-ranked Brian Harvey (174) and Bryce Barnes (197) all came away with individual championships, while Russell Parsons Jr. (157) and Samson Imonode (184) placed second. Additionally, Army sent two more wrestlers to the third-place matches. Cornwall native David Farr (285) finished third, and Austin Harry (133) placed fourth. Great job men!
