Middletown, Rondout Valley, Washingtonville @ Mahopac Tournament
Middletown won the team title and crowned two champions (Lainez 106, Matos 152) while Washingtonville finished 7th crowning one champion (Beyers 195).  Complete tournament results below.

The Warriors continue to roll!  Congratulations to MV senior Michael Raccioppi who is now Minisink Valley’s all-time wins leader!  Raccioppi broke Darrel Ford’s record of 186 wins when he notched #187 with his first period pin of East Providence’s Tyler Chagon!  Great job Michael!

MW @ Ridgefield, CT Challenge
The Crusaders cruised to the team title crowning 5 champions outpacing second place Newtown by a 277-185 margin!  Marco Vespa (99), Vinny Vespa (120), Evan Barczak (132), Marcello Gennaro (182), and Nick McShea (195) took home individual titles for Monroe!  Matt Bracco (138), Brandon Lewis (152), Andrew Tully (160), Kendall Elfstrum (170), and Celle Mazzamuto (285) finished second for the crusaders while Kevin Kelly took third at 126.

  1. Sounds like another great weekend of Section IX wrestling! Super proud of our Crusader wrestlers with 10 of our young men in the finals and a big tournament win with 277 total team points (2nd place Newtown with 185)!
